The Presumed Compliance course is designed for Patrol Officers, Corrections, Probation Officers, and Courthouse Staff. Muddy Boots covers areas of agency policy development for Use of Force, Officer/Suspect factors, Mindset, and Overall Training methods. This course will cover the importance of the officer’s knowledge of agency policies and state statute on deadly force considerations. Officers will also learn lessons on how other officers have been killed and techniques that can be used to counter these types of attacks.
Preparation for a use of force situation goes beyond physical preparation. Many officers are not prepared mentally when dealing with situations that need either escalation or de-escalation techniques.
The scenarios in this course are all real-life scenarios that range from using only verbal direction and de-escalation techniques all the way to deadly force. High-risk tabletop exercises will be conducted where teams will have to work with other entities such as Fire/EMS and outside LEO agencies.
Areas covered in this course include:
- Deadly Force Considerations
- Statistics of Officers Killed
- Suspect/Officer Mindset
- Scenarios based on recent events
- Physical Conditioning
Muddy Boots Tactical Training provides a comprehensive approach to law enforcement education that gives participants improved knowledge, increased skill and attitudinal changes.
